Sis and I used to love MC's strawberry pies. But over the years, we really hated that bright neon red gel they mixed in w/ the berries. Do they still do that? I haven't seen a MC around in years (though I still see their chicken pot pies in the grocery stores!).
But their strawberry menu looks delicious.
Yeahhh.... coincidentally, my friend brought in MC's strawberry pie to work last week and it had that neon red glossy gel on the pie. I hear you... because strawberries were sweet enough to hold on its own (the pie was delicious), but adding the red gel just made it extra, extra sweet. I get it though, I guess they need something to "bind" the berries together.
If you're ever in the college area, there is an MC's right off of the 8 near DZ Akins. I remember there used to be one in Coronado that offered a Sunday brunch buffet, which was pretty good - all you can eat quiche, oh yeah!
